Homework

Each Monday, a homework packet will come home in the folder inside your child's Lion Binder.

The front sheet of the packet will indicate what should be done each night.  Please initial where  

indicated each night.  The homework packet will be due each Friday.  The weekly homework will be a  

review or extension of skills we are working on in class.  I will never assign new concepts as homework.

You will notice that each night's assignment begins with your child reading.  This is such an important

aspect of the nightly work.  Please make sure your child reads for at least 10 minutes each night.

If your child becomes frustrated after 10 minutes, please feel free to take over the reading.  It is

also perfectly acceptable to reread favorite books...we all do it! Please make sure you or your child 

 writes the name of the book on the month's book log, which should also be stored in the Lion Binder.
