Mouse Announcements
What we will study this week
*Reading
Students will read Encyclopedia Brown. They will
discuss the plot of stories. We
will also review daily for the ISAT. There is not a selection test
on Friday.
*Math
Students will continue to work on multiplication and
division. It is important that students are practicing
those basic multiplication facts nightly!!! We will also
review daily for ISAT.
*Spelling
Students are working with the prefixes "dis", "un", and "in".
There is a test on Friday.
*Social
Studies
Students will continue to learn about the Midwest region. Please
study the states and capitals daily.
*Science
Students will continue the chapter on weather.
We will review for the ISAT daily.
*English
Students are working with alliterations and verbs.
*Writers' Workshop - Our
focus this week is on writing extended responses weekly to prepare
for the ISAT.
Spelling lists are in take home folders today. There will be a
pre-test on Monday and the post test and sentence dictation test
will be on
Friday.
