What we studied this week …
 

*Reading –  Students read and acted out the play,  The King In The Kitchen. They learned about various character traits.   On a daily basis students are completing ISAT prep in reading.

*Spelling – Students worked with the final spellings of ar and er.

*Math – Students have been working with  division., time, and graphing.  Please practice these basic math facts at home on a nightly basis.  On
a daily basis students are completing ISAT prep in math.

*Social Studies –  They have started the chapter on the southeast region..  Please practice those states and capitals for your test.

*Science –  Students have been learning about the systems of the human body.  This week we focused on the nervous and digestive systems.  Daily students are completing ISAT prep in science.

*English – They have been working spelling verbs in the past and present tense.

*Writers' Workshop -   Students are writing extended responses for reading and math.

Spelling lists are located on the back of our weekly newsletter. There will not be a
pre-test on Monday and the post test and sentence dictation test will be on Friday.  A copy of the spelling list  can be found on this site as well.
