This afternoon we celebrated “snuggle-up and read’ day with our favorite blankets, quilts, and BOOKS!!!! It was fun to have some of our classmates share their favorite books.
Valentine’s Day
We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Tuesday, February 14th. The students will be decorating envelopes here in class for the party. There is a class list on the reverse side of this newsletter so your child can make Valentines for all of his or her classmates. Please send the Valentines in by Tuesday the 14th. We’ll have a wonderful time!!
Math
We started our new chapter on geometry and the class is LOVING it!! We’re having a bunch of great conversations about the shapes and solids and we’ve done some fun hands on activities. Great to see that colored, foam shapes can still make a student smile!!
Reading
I sent home this month’s “Book-It” reading forms this week. We didn’t have as many students return January’s form. PLEASE encourage your child to read EVERY NIGHT!!! Even when they don’t have reading for homework. Thank you!

Way to GO!!!! John, Caleb, Jesi, Maureen, Kyler, Eire, Leoini, Makenzie, Olivia, Sean, and Kaelin mad e their AR goal this week!!!!!! I am SO PROUD of you all!!!!!
