Hello, my name is Mr. Owens. I am a fifth grade teacher at Carterville Intermediate School School in Carterville, Illinois. This school year is my sixth year in the school district. Prior to this year I taught fourth grade at Tri-C Elementary School.  I am originally from LeRoy, IL, a small town 30 minutes from Champaign. I graduated from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 2005, and completed my Master's Degree from there as well in 2008. My interests include sports, music, and movies. In addition to teaching I also coach football and baseball at Carterville High School. I enjoy spending time away from teaching with my wife Amy and son Lukas.
