Language Arts Block

 Reading:  Our LAST story will be Two Bad Ants.  Through this story, we will review many of the comprehension strategies we learned this year. 

Grammar:  We will focus on the use of commas and begin to review past lessons.  

Spelling: This week in spelling, all of the words are multisyllabic words.   *************************************

May 22 - Report Card Day

Math Block

This week we will continue with division.  We will review the relationship between multiplication and division, dividing with 2 and 5, 3 and 4, and 6 and 7.  I want to introduce dividing with remainders this week too!

                      Science Block

We will spend the last week reviewing our solar system.  Mr. Nowland spend quite a bit of time covering the sun and moon. We want to extend that to the planets!  

 

Homework:    Monday: Study spelling words and read for 10 minutes a book of your choice. Tuesday: Read your anthology story, grammar practice & practice math facts.  Wednesday:  Math page for review, writing (periodically), and read for 10 minutes.  Thursday: Read science lesson, review spelling words, and practice math facts.
