About Your Teacher

                I am originally from Galesburg, Illinois, where I graduated from Galesburg High School and Knox College.   I taught fourth grade for eight years at King Elementary School in Galesburg. 

            I married my wife, Amber, 2003, and in 2007, we moved to Southern Illinois.  I spent one your teaching at Giant City School near Carbondale before moving to Tri-C.   We live in Carterville with our four children, Kyler, Isaiah, Maya, and Jaycie.   

            In 2009, I finished a Master's Degree in Teacher Leadership from Southern Illinois University, and I continuing to take coursework in educational leadership and instruction.     

            I enjoy coaching my children's sports teams, swimming, following the Chicago Bears and Cubs, and exploring the different parts of Southern Illinois in my free time.
