Coming Up...

Math - Pages 162 - 172, adding and subtracting money, equality and inequality, and begin preparing for Chapter 3 test on next Wednesday.

Social Studies - Reading through Chapter 2 to understand the differences between rural and suburb types of communities.

Reading - We spent today reading and doing activities that go along with the play "Pushing Up the Sky". Tomorrow we will begin "Night Letters" and work with the concepts that go with that story for the rest of this week and next.

Word Study - All students will have the same spelling lists again this week of compound words. We will spend time understanding what compound words are and how to break them apart to determine meaning. I am also retesting the students so we will know where to begin after Christmas break. There will be no spelling words next week.

Grammar - Main verbs and helping verbs

Writing Workshop - 5 paragraph essays on what we love about Christmas.
