Chili Supper to benefit Mrs. Deanna Heal
Friday, Feb. 3 from 5 - 7 pm in CHS cafeteria (stay to root on CHS Lions vs Nashville)
$5.00 includes chili, carrots, celery, drink and dessert.

(Children 3 and under eat free)

SCHEDULED EVENTS/ACTIVITIES

Friday, February 3 

  • 7:50 am ~ FBLA Chapter Meeting in Ms. Owen's Room.

  • During Enrichment ~ OTSD Committee: Meeting in the guidance office

  • During Enrichment ~ There will be a meeting about the Sr. Citizen banquet in the Auditorium. Students who signed up to be servers/escorts/parking attendants will need to attend this meeting. There will be a list in all Senior English classes of the students chosen to work the banquet.

  • During Enrichment ~ There will be an informational meeting in Mrs. Tyner’s room for juniors interested in selling crush sodas.

  • Girls Track will be running the concession stand during Friday night’s game. Track members that can work need to come to the office to sign up.

  • NHS members need to stop by Mrs. Tyner’s room and sign-up to bring baked goods to the basketball game on Friday night.

  • LifeSavers need to bring candy for the Valentine’s banquet

SIU - C Thursday, February 9 During Enrichment

ONGOING

  • If you have any jeans that you do not wear or want anymore bring them into the Guidance reception area. They will be given to homeless teens and our school will have the chance to win money and jeans for the students.
     

  • Anyone that would still like to order a yearbook can log onto www.balfour.com. There is an instruction sheet in the office on how to order. Any questions see Ms. Owen.
     

  • If you are a WWII veteran or know a WWII veteran, contact Mrs. Carrie Banovz or Mr. Bruce Childers at CHS, 618-985-2940.  CHS students are participating in a WWII Veteran's Memorial Board Project.  Students from the Advanced US History and Interactive Media classes will be interviewing WWII veterans and preparing documentaries from those interviews, which will be posted online.  Raw footage from the interviews will also be submitted to the Library of Congress Veteran's History Project.

  • Computer Lab A by the Library is open daily from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. and Thursdays after school from 3:30 – 4:30.
