Beta Club

Beta Club Vision: The purpose of the Senior National Beta Club is to promote the ideals of character, service and leadership among high school students.  We want to reward meritorious achievement and to encourage and assist students in continuing their education after high school.

Requirements/Selection Process:  Beta Club members are selected in a two-step process. First, students who earn a 3.25 cumulative GPA the previous semester are invited to have their names included on the ballot.  Second, CHS staff members are asked to vote whether or not a given student should be in Beta Club based on worthy character, good mentality, creditable achievement, and commendable attitude.  A student must get 2/3rds of faculty and staff “yes” votes to be invited into the club.

Some benefits of being a Beta Club Member:

**Being a part of a prestigious, well-known club builds a student’s resume and college or scholarship application.

**Acknowledges social and community responsibility

**The national Beta organization awards over $250,000 in scholarship money every year

Beta Club Polar Plunge!!

Congratulations to the Beta Club Members who participated in Saturday’s Polar Plunge for Special Olympics. We took home the award for the high school that raised the most money with a grand total of just over $1,600! Seven students actually plunged, but fifteen raised money…you should be very proud of yourselves! If you raised $75, but did not plunge, pick up your hoodie from Mrs. Basso.
