Helen & Freeland Williams Scholarship
$1,000 scholarship to be awarded to a 2009 graduating senior at
Carterville High School who will attend SIUC in the Fall of 2009.

The
Connie Hooker Church and Charles Church Scholarship
is awarded to qualifying seniors from Carterville High School who
will attend Southern Illinois University of Carbondale. Each
scholarship, the amount of which will vary from year to year, will
be given when the student enrolls at SIUC.
Recipients will be those
who best exemplify the ideals of scholarship and community
involvement that guided the lives of Connie and Charles Church. The

here and must be completed and mailed by April 1, 2010.
Williamson County
Scholarship Foundation for Exceptional Students is offering scholarships for special education students planning to
attend a college or university and scholarships for special education
students transitioning from high school to a work environment. Completed applications can be picked up in the guidance office and must be
mailed to Williamson County Scholarship Foundation for Exceptional Students no
later than April 1, 2010.

Southern Illinois
Buckmasters Scholarship. Two scholarships will be
awarded to high school seniors who reside in Southern Illinois south of
interstate 64. The scholarships are designed for students who study one of the following areas in college: Forestry, Wildlife Management,
Conservation, or Agriculture. Applications are available in the guidance office.

The
Little
Egypt Longbeards Chapter National Wild Turkey Federation
is offering the
Conservation Scholarship Award of $1,000 to a student in Williamson
County. An eligible student should be entering college in the fall
of 2010 pursuing a career in the outdoor field. Examples of this
type of career would be conservation (wildlife, water and soil),
wildlife biology, farming or conservation police officer.
Application for this scholarship should be submitted in essay form
setting forth educational plans and career goals. Please tell us
about your love of the outdoors, whether hunting, hiking, fishing,
etc. and supply your picture, preferably featuring an outdoor
activity if possible. Grades should be included, but will not be
the deciding factor in the scholarship award. Personal reference
may be submitted, but are not required. Please submit typed

Illinois Lumber and
Material Dealers Association Educational Foundation will
award academic scholarships to selected students to pursue
industry-related
course work at colleges and universities. For eligibility

accepted for the 2010-2011 Roscoe
Pulliam Memorial Scholarship.
Four scholarships worth $1000 each will be awarded. Criteria
include being a child, grandchild, or sibling to an alumnus of SIUC
who is a current member of the SIU Alumni Association. A new
freshman student must rank in the upper 10% of his/her high school
graduating class and score a minimum of 26 on the ACT. Financial
need of applicant will be considered. Access the application at

Williamson County
CrimeStoppers will offer a $500 scholarship to a student who will be attending a two year or four year accredited college or university in the State of Illinois, and is enrolled or enrolling in
a law enforcement or criminal justice program. Obtain an application in

is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a senior graduating from Carterville High School. Selection is based on

The Ameren Illinois
Minority Scholarship is available to minority students who plan to major in an engineering discipline. The application is available on the Ameren corporate website at
www.ameren.com. Click on "Ameren Corporate Home," "Community Members," "Illinois Community
Members," and then "Scholarships." Deadline: Monday,
April 9, 2010.

The Illinois
Employment and Training Association
will award two $500
scholarships to seniors who demonstrate financial need and graduate
in the top 50% of their class. Applicants must reside in State of
Illinois and plan on attending college within the State of Illinois
with a major in Accounting or Business. See a counselor for an

The Crosswalk
Community Action Agency is awarding scholarships to
Franklin, Williamson, Jefferson and Jackson county recipients. Applicants

offer a one year (30 Credit Hour) tuition scholarship. Scholarship

The
Sgt. Robert M. McCluskey Scholarship
is awarded to a student who seeks to pursue a career
in the field of Law Enforcement. This scholarship is presented in
remembrance of Sgt. McCluskey, who dedicated his life to serving the
public as a Law Enforcement Officer, first with the City of
Carterville and then with the Williamson County Sheriff’s
Department. A $500 Scholarship will be awarded in 2010 to an
applicant enrolled at John A. Logan College. The application may be

XI KAPPA NU
SCHOLARSHIP will be awarded to one Senior from
Carterville High School. The scholarship will be awarded to a
student attending any two or four-year college or university during the 2010-2011 academic year.
The scholarship will be given when the student submits proof of

The Rotary Club of
Carterville is offering three $600 scholarships to Carterville High School graduating seniors. Students must have a
three (3) point GPA. Future plans/goals are strong considerations for these
awards. One recipient must attend John A. Logan College and the other two
may attend the college of their choice.

award several Balanced Man Scholarships. The scholarships will go
to male students who excel in the areas of scholarship, leadership,

Tri-C Memorial Scholarship - A $1000 scholarship to a
student planning to attend SIUC will be awarded. Applicants must be a graduating senior
at CHS, enrolled at Southern Illinois University -Carbondale and have a GPA
