Illinois Electric Cooperatives will offer eight scholarships of
$1,250 each to high school seniors through the
Illinois Electric Cooperatives (IEC)
Memorial Scholarship Program.
Four scholarships will be awarded to students who are sons or daughters
of an Illinois electric cooperative member receiving service from the
cooperative. A fifth scholarship will be awarded to a son or daughter
of an Illinois electric cooperative employee. The sixth and seventh
scholarships are reserved for students enrolling full-time at a two-year
Illinois community college who are the sons or daughters of Illinois
electric cooperative members, employees or directors. The eighth
scholarship will help pay for costs to attend the lineworker’s school in
conjunction with Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, IL. The

Any senior girl planning to major in education may apply for the
Florence A.
Cook Grant in Aid of $300. One student will be selected from
Carterville
High School to compete with students from other local schools for this
award. Click HERE for an application. Applications must be
returned to a guidance counselor by December 9,
2011.
The NASSP/Herff Jones Principal's Leadership
Award will award $125,000 in
