Several students are participating in the CCTE program
during the 2008-2009 school year.
Cooperative Career and Technical Education (CCTE) is a program for seniors
who wish to receive on-the-job training in an area related to their
career goal. Students will work and learn at a local business or
industry for three periods daily (15 hours per week). All CCTE
students will meet daily in their related class held on campus. Two
credits will be earned for CCTE. Acceptance into the program is based on:
- Previous attendance record (a maximum of 10 days from the
previous year - unless there are unusual circumstances).
- Previous vocational emphasis/career goal.
- Interview with Mrs. Banovz and Mrs. Hawkins.
- Approval from the principal, Mr. Liddell.
- The availability of a suitable training site related to career
goal (student cannot work for a family member or have a family
member as their supervisor).
- Must have at least a C average.
