What's going on in class this week (February 6-February 10)?

Reading We are not covering a story from our Reading textbook this week.  Instead we will be doing a variety of activities and lessons in preparation for ISAT.
Spelling Lesson 19-Vowels in Unstressed Syllables

Pretest Tuesday, post test Thursday, and contract due Thursday.

Writing Writing Workshop: Students are finishing their persuasive essay.  We will continue studying the Word Choice Trait through our Daily Traits Warm-Up and by using the mentor text Any Small Goodness by Tony Johnston.

We are adding a new and exciting element to our Writing Workshop!  Each month, students will receive a Writing BINGO card.  In each square is a different writing prompt or activity to be completed in their Writer's Notebook.  Students must complete at least 1 BINGO each month.  The BINGO cards will serve as a springboard for ideas of writing students would like to take through the entire writing process.
