Welcome

The goal of the Title I program is to provide your child with extra reading assistance beyond the regular classroom.  Its purpose is to improve the educational opportunities and achievements of children in basic reading skills and attain grade level proficiency.

At CIS we are currently using SRA's Corrective Reading, an Intensive Reading Intervention Program.  It is a researched-based, direct instruction teaching model that provides intensive, sustained instruction in fluency.  Students meet daily for 30-35 minutes of instruction.
