Welcome to 5th Grade!! Mrs.
Shepard and Mrs. Haake are happy to welcome you to their 5th grade
classrooms! This is our 10th
year in the Carterville School District, and we are excited to start out the
year! We know that switching classes
and teachers during the day is unfamiliar to you, but don’t worry, we’ll help
you to make the transition. Fifth
grade may seem tough at first. It’s a
big adjustment, but you’ll get the hang of it in no time at all. Mrs.
Shepard will be teaching reading, language, writing, and spelling. This will
be her 12th year teaching.
Mrs. Shepard lives in Carterville with her husband and two daughters,
Gracie, who is 7 years old, and Adyson who is 3 years old. She enjoys gardening, computers, and
spending time with her family. This
will be Mrs. Haake’s 17th year teaching. She will be teaching science, math, and
social studies. Mrs. Haake lives in
Carterville with her husband, 10 year old son, Alex, and 6 year old,
Ben. She enjoys sports, spending time
with her family, and surfing the internet. We
are 2 individuals in separate classrooms, but we are working as one
team. We confer daily about student’s
progress and work together on homework and curriculum issues. If you ever have a question or a problem,
remember that you only have to contact one of us! On
the following pages, we have listed classroom information that is important
for you and your parents to read together.
Please read and return the
signed rule contract by Friday, August 21st. We are both hoping to make this a
year you’ll never forget—exciting and fun! (Maybe you’ll learn a few things
along the way too! J) |
