Box Tops

Box Tops is an easy way to raise money for our schools. All we have to do is cut the pink box top symbols off items that we purchase for our families. Just send those in to the school and once submitted, the school receives a check. Each symbol is worth 10 cents.

The Box Tops are sent in twice during the school year. Forms will be sent home throughout the year which allow families to submit their Box Tops in groups of 10 or 20. However, we will accept loose Box Tops too.

The classroom that brings in the most Box Tops will win a PIZZA PARTY at the end of the year. Funds raised through the Box Top program are used by the schools to benefit all children in the schools.

2014 Total: $3486.46

2015 Goal: $5000.00

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Attend a Box Top Party and help us prepare the Box Tops for submission. Party Dates TBD.
  • Create collection boxes to be placed in the community to allow community members to submit Box Tops too.

Labels for Education

Labels for Education is a program that allows schools to submit the labels from products in our homes and receive money for the schools. Many people refer to this program as Cambell's Soup Labels.

The labels are submitted twice during the school year and a check comes to each school for their efforts. The schools use the money to benefit all of the children.

The classroom that collects the most labels gets to have a pizza party.

  • Prepare collection boxes to be placed in the community to allow community members to submit labels.

Play Day

Each spring, we hold fun day for the children. The Kindergarten through Third graders at Tri C participate in a series of outdoor games at the school. The Fourth and Fifth graders at CIS participate in an outdoor carnival at the school. The Sixth graders have a fun day at an area sports gym. This is a day for everyone to have fun and celebrate the end of a fantastic school year.

Scholastic Book Fair

Each school hosts a Scholastic Book Fair each year. The Bookfair at Tri-C is held in the fall around the end of the first quarter. The CIS Bookfair is held in the spring.

The Bookfairs allow families to purchase books at great prices and build their family libraries. Teachers also make wish lists for their classrooms. The profits from the Bookfairs are taken in books. Each teacher is given an alottment of free books and the rest are used to give each child a book on his/her birthday.

In the Spring, each school holds a Trot. At TriC, the children walk around the track. At CIS they walk around James Street Park. The children are asked to collect donations for their efforts. Prizes are given for the child who brings in the most money overall, and also for first, second and third within each grade.

The funds from the Trots are used to provide all of the children with opportunities that might not otherwise be provided by the schools. These opportunities include events such as 3 Screens Video presentations, tickets to attend local musical performances, etc.
