Today we kicked off our APEX fundraiser with a high energy pep assembly in the gym! This will be our ONLY fundraiser for this school year and all proceeds will be used to purchase interactive boards in the classrooms. These boards will enhance learning and engagement.
Students will come home with a VIP badge. Parents can scan the QR code to register their child and then invite others to make donations. Donations can be made in a flat amount or per dance move they learn during our Glow Dance Party next week!
Please help spread the word about our fundraiser!
If you know someone that may be interested in joining Team CIS, please point them in our direction.
We hope that you are able to join us on Wednesday for our Donut with a Grownup event!
CIS will be collecting pudding cups to donate to the Gum Drops program, which serves students in our district on a weekly basis. Donations will be collected during the week of February 12 - 16.
Carterville Intermediate School was well represented at the Regional Office of Education's Brain Games competition. This event was filled with creative thinking and problem-solving exercises in a rainforest-themed competition. Our fourth and sixth grade teams received 3rd place and have advanced to the Regional Brain Games Competition at Rend Lake College in March! Great job!
Save the date for the Lions' Music December events!
Check out the upcoming PBIS fundraisers at CIS. All proceeds go to fund our Lion Pride Store and school-wide celebrations.

Our PBIS team kicked off the first quarter focus of "Treating Others with Kindness and Respect" with fun Minute to Win it Games. As we focus on treating others the way that we want to be treated, students will be working towards meeting their school-wide goal. If the first quarter goal is met, we will celebrate by bringing in an ice cream truck!
Carterville Intermediate School Students showed up on bikes, danced into school, and enjoyed the new equipment as we kicked off the 2023-2024 school year yesterday. Teachers learned tips on self-care through ROE 21, had a scavenger hunt, and ran in the hallways. We had a great first day and are looking forward to the new school year!
Team CIS welcomed all students this morning with some music and disco lights as they danced their way into the gym. Reminder that we dismiss at 11:25 today and there is no Latchkey.
