Prior to fall break, CJHS had our PBIS reward day. We had a raffle for students and five were chosen for gift cards for displaying positive behavior at school. Teachers participated in a game of knock out to earn points for their PBIS House team. We ended the day outside with inflatables, games, and concessions.
It was a beautiful day, and we enjoyed celebrating our students’ accomplishments and positive behavior at school!

Reminder that permission slips for the Halloween Dance that is this Friday, October 24 are due to students' Pride teachers no later than 3:00 on Tuesday, October 21.
The Carterville Junior High cross country team competed this past weekend at State, and they did great!
The girls finished third and the boys finished fifth!

Congratulations to the CJHS boys and girls cross country teams for advancing to state tonight. The boys finished second, and the girls finished third at Regionals! It’s a great day to be a Lion!
Congratulations to the CJHS softball team for their win tonight making them STATE CHAMPIONS! Way to go!

Thursday, October 9: Fall sports photos and fall student picture day! Cross country regionals in Murphysboro at 4:30! State softball championship in Marion at 4:30!
Friday, October 10: PBIS FUN DAY in the afternoon. Students may bring money to purchase items at the concession stand in the afternoon. We will also have games and an obstacle course!

The Lions are State Bound! Congratulations to the JH softball team on their 2-0 regional win over a very tough Herrin team today. The girls advance to the state tournament and will play Waterloo next Saturday at 2 pm. This year’s state tournament will be hosted by the Oasis Complex in Marion. Great job and Go Lions!
